Arnold Schwarzenegger and Dolph Lundgren pump iron together at Gold’s Gym in LA’s Venice Beach

Bodybuilders-turned-eighties action stars Dolph Lundgren and Arnold Schwarzenegger sported sweats to pump iron together at Gold’s Gym in Venice Beach on Thursday.

At 75, the Austrian-born former California Governor is a decade older than the cerebral Swede, who was a Marine and studied chemical engineering at MIT.

Multiple cameramen captured all of the action inside the fenced-off outdoor area of the legendary 58-year-old gym where memberships cost $100/month.

Perhaps Dolph and Arnold – both wearing small microphones – were collaborating on a fitness special or documentary.

Also enjoying Gold’s Gym on Thursday was Schwarzenegger’s youngest child – Dancing with the Stars #31 alum Joseph Baena – who snapped a mirror selfie with his Pepperdine University pals Dylan Hagen and Jonathan Lauer.

The seven-time Mr. Olympia secretly fathered his 25-year-old son with housekeeper Mildred ‘Patty’ Baena, which effectively destroyed his 25-year marriage to Emmy-winning producer and journalist Maria Shriver.

Arnold and Lundgren have only acted together in three films – The Expendables trilogy (2010, 2012, and 2014) – which grossed a grand total of $804M at the global box office.

The Rocky IV alum will reprise his role as the newly-sober Gunner Jensen in Scott Waugh’s $100M-budget fourth and final Expendables film, which hits US/UK theaters September 22.

The Raid alum Iko Uwais will play the lead villain, a ‘former military officer-turned-arms dealer with his own private army’ who gets involved with a nuclear conflict between Russia and the States.

The Expendables 4 will also star Sylvester Stallone, Jason Statham, Andy García, Curtis ’50 Cent’ Jackson, Megan Fox, Randy Couture, Tony Jaa, Jacob Scipio, Levy Tran, Sheila Shah, and Eddie Hall.

‘It’s definitely bigger. I mean, the budget is probably at least twice what the last one was, I think,’ Dolph told PopCulture.com last year.

‘It’s a special franchise, because a lot of these action franchises today are based on superheroes, and they’re for young viewers. So there’s no blood. Nobody gets killed. People get banished to another universe…But Expendables is old school. Unfortunately, people get blown up, and shot, and there’s real fights and real stunts.

‘So I think with that type of approach, plus the fact we’ve got… You know, Megan Fox is in it, 50 Cent is in it. Him and I actually have a lot of scenes together. Andy Garcia. There’s some new blood, and I think there’s a certain excitement to it, testosterone-driven excitement that, hopefully, people will want to see.’
