The outlook for the Arizona Cardinals in 2023 doesn’t look good. They are tied for the lowest projected win total for 2023 in the NFL.
DraftKings Sportsbook released their 2023 NFL win totals for all 32 teams.
The Cardinals’ over/under for wins in 2023 is 5.5, tied with the Houston Texans for the lowest in the NFL.
The Cardinals, of course, are coming off a 4-13 season, don’t look like a better team than they were.
Why?
They have a rookie head coach, rookie offensive and defensive coordinators and a rookie general manager.
Receiver DeAndre Hopkins is expected to be traded.
Defensive lineman J.J. Watt retired, while defensive lineman Zach Allen and cornerback Byron Murphy departed in free agency, meaning three of their best defensive players from last season are gone.
Quarterback Kyler Murray likely will miss the start of the season coming back from a torn ACL.
They have not added anyone of note in free agency.
The win total makes sense.
The only silver lining that fans have for now is the hope that they are at least going in the right direction for long-term success.
