Grace, who posts under @graceirismay, took to TikTok to show off the beautiful quilted jacket.

She said: “Dunnes jackets really popped off today.”

The Galley jacket, available in sizes 8 to 20, features a detailed floral embroidery.

In the clip, the fashion lover can be seen wearing the striking sage green quilted jacket with back patterns printed across it.

Dunnes Stores designers said the jacket is “on-trend”.

They said: “This lightweight quilted jacket from Gallery is fashionably on-trend for this season.

“It features floral embroidery, golden lurex threads, and an open front.

“Gallery is available exclusively at Dunnes Stores.”

It could be styled in a range of different ways depending on the occasion – from pairing it with a midi skirt for a night out to wearing it with jeans for a casual look.

The TikToker teamed it with a white crochet dress, brown belt and cowboy boots.

Retailing at just €35, the cute jacket is a bargain.

The jacket has sold out on the Dunnes Stores website already but lucky shoppers might bag it in store.

Fashion fans are also stocking up on Dunnes Stores summer shorts.

TikTok user Holly O’Neill shared a clip of the shorts in a selection of colours.

She said: “Hi I found the shorts of the summer and they’re not even €10.

First up is a white pair of shorts, which are perfect for summer.

Holly said: “The first pair, white – I mean, I feel like we’re always looking for the perfect white linen shorts, and these are stretchy.”

She explained that she picked up the shorts in a size XS and small, but prefers the small which have an oversized look to them.

They have an elastic waist and two pockets.

She asked: “Aren’t they perfect? I just feel like they’re so flattering.”

THE HISTORY OF DUNNES STORES

DUNNES Stores opened its first store on Patrick Street in Cork in 1944 – and it was an instant hit.

Shoppers from all over the city rushed to the store to snap up quality clothing at pre-war prices in Ireland’s first ‘shopping frenzy’.

During the excitement, a window was forced in and the police had to be called to help control the crowds hoping to bag founder Ben Dunne’s ‘Better Value’ bargains.

Dunnes later opened more stores in the 1950s and began to sell groceries in 1960 – starting with apples and oranges.

The retailer said: “Fruit was expensive at the time and Ben Dunne yet again offered Better Value than anyone else in town.

“Over time, our food selection has grown and that spirit of good value has remained strong.

“Now we offer a wide range of carefully-sourced foods from both local Irish suppliers and overseas.”

The retailer’s first Dublin store opened its doors in 1957 on Henry Street and a super store on South Great Georges Street was unveiled in 1960.

They added: “In 1971, our first Northern Irish store opened, and many others soon followed.

“Expansion continued in the 1980s in Spain, and later into Scotland and England.”

Dunnes now has 142 stores and employs 15,000 people.
