Galway shopping centre opening brand new store as big first day queues expected

Tails will be wagging in one Galway town this week as a unique business gets launched at a popular shopping centre aimed at keeping pets clean.

The novel idea is courtesy of the Wash n Wag Self-Service Dog Wash at Tuam Shopping Centre this weekend where dog owners can clean their pooch for a €10 fee.




“Say goodbye to messy bath times at home and long waits for appointments,” the business promises. “Wash n Wag offers an affordable, convenient, and fun way to pamper your furry friends.”

The dog wash will be up and running on Level 1 of the shopping centre’s car park from Saturday. The business model focuses on letting pet owners show up at whatever time suits them with no appointments needed.

“Enjoy a stress-free wash with our user-friendly equipment! Join us this weekend to celebrate the launch and give your pup the royal treatment they deserve!” the shopping centre’s social media page said.

Another home-grown Galway business that just launched has put out a competition for free products. Dara Mats was founded in Inverin and has started ‘rolling out’ its first batch of luxury suede yoga mats by giving social media users the ability to win one.
