Wondering about what trends to invest in this spring? Avoca has your wardrobe sorted … While lighter jackets and knits continue to be huge right now, it is time to dial your spring style up a notch. Today feels likes spring has arrived – and while we have a few more brisk weeks left, it’s totally acceptable to get your lighter clothes out again, once you are prepared to layer up!

This morning’s annual Avoca spring/summer show (always a tell-tale sign that warmer weather is on the way) was brimming with the latest stylish clothes. Avoca debuted the new collection to a host of key fashion media and influencers in the picturesque Powerscourt House, Enniskerry. Some well-known faces were in attendance including stylists Cathy O’Connor, Corina Gaffey, Sarah Rickard and Sinead Keenan. Guests were treated to a delicious spring-themed breakfast made from seasonal produce in the elegant marble entrance hall of the house. The tables were decorated with colourful summer blooms and flickering La Bougie candles (in the newly-launched scent Desert Rose).

The 58-look show featured colourful dresses in playful boho silhouettes, graphic separates with an elevated twist and lots of summery knits in the hottest shades. Among the standout pieces was the opening look: a white embroidered maxi dress by Theaterd, €149.95. The Sunrise Jan smocked summer dress by Never Fully Dressed also took centre stage, €139; www.avoca.com.

We also loved the Part Two striking navy graphic print dress, €129.95; www.avoca.com. Comfortable and on trend, the Selected Femme organic cotton wide-leg denim jumpsuit, €129.99, featured long sleeves and tie belt, what’s not to love? Show stylist Catherine Condell paired it with the perfect summer green Avoca Handweavers tweed coat, €325. The highlight of the show? Avoca’s own matching floral cotton sleep sets: cotton pyjamas, robes and eye masks. We want every colour (isn’t staying in the new going out?).
